01
Subscription plans for ongoing legal support
Subscription plans provide a predictable monthly allowance of advisor hours, priority scheduling, and access to standard document templates. Plans are tiered by hours and access level so startups can select a plan that matches their anticipated legal workload during fundraising, hiring or market entry.
Subscriptions are intended for teams that require regular legal touchpoints. Each subscription includes an intake review, a set number of advisory hours, and discounted rates for bespoke drafting outside the included hours.
02
On-demand consultations
On-demand consultations are billed per session for founders seeking immediate advice without a subscription. Sessions focus on discrete issues: incorporation choices, term sheet review, employment classifications, or intellectual property concerns.
- 1-hour advisory session
- Focused document review (up to specified page limit)
- Follow-up summary with recommended next steps
On-demand sessions are suitable for one-off decisions or rapid clarifications. Each engagement begins with a brief intake to scope the session and ensure efficient use of time.
03
Document drafting and templates
We provide fixed-fee drafting for common startup documents such as partner agreements, founder agreements, NDAs and basic service contracts. Templates are adapted to each company’s structure and negotiated commercial terms.
Fixed-fee drafting is available for term sheets, partner agreements and standard employment contracts.
Bespoke or highly negotiated documents are quoted separately based on complexity and negotiation rounds. Our drafting workflow emphasizes clarity, commercial alignment, and enforceability under Malaysian law.
04
Compliance reviews and regulatory checks
Compliance reviews cover regulatory obligations relevant to the business model: licensing, consumer protection, data privacy requirements, and sector-specific regulations in Malaysia.
Reviews identify key compliance gaps, prioritize remediation steps, and provide a practical checklist for implementation by the founding team.
Regulatory readiness for market entry
Where specialist regulatory input is required, we coordinate with licensed practitioners and provide a recommended scope and budget for any additional filings.
05
Pricing transparency
Pricing is presented clearly for each service tier and engagement type. We publish standard fees for common services and provide transparent estimates for bespoke work before engagement.
Clients receive a written engagement letter setting out scope, deliverables, timelines and fees to reduce ambiguity and help with budgeting.
06
Service add-ons and third-party coordination
Service add-ons include notary coordination, registered address services, and liaison with accountants or corporate secretaries when statutory filings are required.
- Notary and attestation coordination
- Registered office and statutory filing assistance
- Coordination with tax advisors and corporate secretaries
We work collaboratively with third-party professionals while maintaining a single point of contact within StartupHubBiz to simplify project management for founders.
07
Onboarding and client responsibilities
Onboarding begins with a structured intake to capture company details, valuation structure, and immediate legal priorities. Clients are asked to provide key documents and a short executive summary to accelerate the advisory process.
Clients are expected to provide factual information and timely responses to document requests. Clear communication and access to necessary documents enable more efficient and cost-effective legal work.
